The Spanish Chamber of Commerce plays an active role in improving the competitiveness of Spanish businesses, particularly small and medium companies. Specifically, to encourage and coordinate the fostering of innovation and technology transfer in companies, the implementation of the digital economy, energy efficiency, access to financing and the improvement of different factors of business competitiveness.

Likewise, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce collaborates with Spanish and European bodies in the management of public programmes aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Spanish businesses, in particular SMEs.

These activities are included in the Chambers Plan for Spanish Business Competitiveness, drafted and run by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the network of chamber of commerce and in line with the priorities set forth by the Spanish government's economic policy.
